For surface finishing, it is recommended when possible to use an end mill with a slight corner radius. It tends to not gouge the material caused tool deflection as much, plus it has a longer life with the rounded tips. The x.ceed coating also reduces tool wear and abrasion in harder materials such as steel. Note you will not be able to achieve sharp inside corners with this tool.

Also, they can be used in applications with tiny diameters because the double flute is stronger compared to a single fluted tool.
